At Richard James we understand that a kitchen is the heart of any home, from hosting dinner parties to cooking those special family dinners we know that a kitchen is a special place. Renovating or redesigning your kitchen can be a tiresome and stressful experience to say the least but at Richard James we try to make the whole process as smooth as possible. From your initial design visit through to supply and installation we will work with you to provide you with a kitchen makeover you'll be pleased to show off and tell your friends about.
Our process of works

If you are looking to refurbish, replace or redesign your kitchen then your next step is deciding what company to choose to carry out the project. At Richard James Kitchens we initially ask that you can fill out our online contact form with some information and a bit about you and your project. With the information provided we are able to provide you with a price indication for the proposed works to see whether we are withing your budget and expectations.

Once we have passed the initial email phase we will arrange a free home design visit with one of our team. Our team at Richard James Kitchens have extensive knowledge and ideas to help make the whole process a lot easier and will work with you to help design the perfect kitchen makeover to suit you and your home. On your design visit, we will run through all your options with you, take some more detailed measurements and show you all of our samples to help you with your decisions. After your visit, a member of our team will be in touch within 3-5 working days with an exact cost for all your chosen options and designs as well as any optional extras.

After reading through our final quote and making the decision to proceed with Richard James kitchens on your project we ask for a small fee to secure your booking. This enables us to start the design phase. We will then provide you with a first revision project package outlining everything included within your quote, an elevation drawing, setting out drawings, finishes chosen, optional extras and our payment terms. Once you are entirely happy with every aspect of your project we will then proceed to book you with a supply and installation date for your new kitchen, usually within 4-6 weeks of finalisation.

Turning your vision into a reality. Having agreed to everything outlined in your final revision project package we ask for your next payment, usually 50% of the quoted amount, this enables us to process, manufacture and pre-assemble any applicable items for your kitchen in the workshop ready for installation. We try to carry out as much of the fabrication in the workshop to limit the disruption and time required when on site. Let's be fair renovating your kitchen is stressful enough so we try to take a different approach when it comes to installation.

Finally, the day has come, installation day, leave this part to us, it's what we do best. On your installation day we we will protect all areas to and from your kitchen, prepare services and start installing your new doors, panels and any applicable items. At this point we ask for your 3rd payment to be made, 30% is required at the end of day 1.

At the end of the project, we will conduct a thorough review with you to ensure that you are absolutely thrilled with your brand-new kitchen makeover. Our team will leave no stone unturned in tidying up the site, making it look as if we were never there. Before we leave, we confidently request that you settle the remaining 20% of the payment during the final inspection.
